Why You Should Not Make Google Suspicious by Tampering with Search History?

Google keeps updating its algorithms and makes necessary changes in the analytics to make sure that it is offering users with organic and relevant results. To protect its place as number one search engine, it keeps eye on black hat SEO methods that many of the blog owners are utilizing to increase their SERP raking. Webmasters have been using negative SEO, despite Google’s warning. It has stirred up the topic again asking blog owners not to fall into misleading search engine optimization practices.

Google doesn’t like SEO services, which try to tamper page rankings through tricks in order to get their customer’s website ranked on top. The new updates make it even harder for unethical SEO services to operate and get the most out of white hat techniques. As per latest Penguin 2.0 update, search engine aimed directly at dishonorable and unethical strategies and made major updates to the way SEO is done.

The latest black hat tactic involves redirecting users to a page that comprises fully ads; when users tap ‘back button’, instead of directing to previous page, the site sends them to new page filled with advertisements. These misleading pages appear very similar to natural SERPs. Google has warned those websites using this tactic to get higher in ranking; to stop this practice from picking up or continuing, the search engine warns webmaster to get rid of such domains. Explaining the situation, Google said it wants to protect customers and if any site is violating their rules, it can take extreme steps, including removal of such websites. It is measuring each step and action by the website, including adding manipulative or deceptive pages into browser history of users.

Of late, content creation and marketing is popular in SEO and it’s best to stick with ethical content marketing tactics rather than taking up some questionable actions, like redirecting users to some pages, which they never wanted to visit. Google says businesses can see better outcomes by creating contents that are worth reading and sharing.

The sandbox impact lasts for one to six months; the impact of negative practice would be very strong in the first few months.

Black hat SEO can build hundred links and once Google puts such sites in Sandbox, it is very difficult to get them back. Google monitors SEO and changes its algorithm to avoid the advantages of those poor links. Google watches those sites or pages, which harm the relevance, diversity, or accuracy of the search results and if people are misled, it would take some serious action against such websites.

Google is becoming harsher with every passing day, due to the fact that many SEO firms and webmasters violate their guidelines and try all possible things to rank higher.

On the whole, the updates in Google’s Penguin 2.0 algorithm are great for white hat SEO services and end users (customers). The key to successful SEO strategy is to build high quality links and content for clients that last longer and ranking of the website can grow naturally.
